Nathaniel Marvin Wolff, known as Nat Wolff, is an American actor and musician. He was born on December 17, 1994, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of jazz pianist Michael Wolff and actress Polly Draper. He has a younger brother, Alex, with whom he starred in the Nickelodeon television series "The Naked Brothers Band" (2007–2009), which was created by their mother. The series' soundtrack albums, "The Naked Brothers Band" (2007) and "I Don't Want to Go to School" (2008), both ranked the 23rd spot on the Top 200 Billboard Charts.
After the series ended, Wolff and his brother formed the music duo Nat & Alex Wolff, and they released the album "Black Sheep" in 2011. As an actor, Wolff is known for his roles in films such as "Paper Towns" (2015), "Admission", "Behaving Badly", and "Palo Alto", all of which premiered in 2013. He also co-starred in the highly successful theatrical film, "The Fault in Our Stars" (2014) before portraying Ed in the film "Ashby" in 2015. He portrayed Light Turner in the Netflix adaptation of "Death Note" (2017). He and his younger brother starred in the 2018 film "Stella's Last Weekend", which was written and directed by their mother.
Wolff was brought up "culturally Jewish". He has been writing songs since the age of 5 and has written over 170 songs. He wrote, directed, and produced a short film titled "Don't Eat off My Plate" starring his parents in the summer of 2005. His favorite hobby is playing piano.
