Krista Kosonen

Krista Erika Kosonen, born on May 28, 1983, in Espoo, Finland, is a Finnish actress known for her versatile roles in both film and television. She graduated from the Theatre Academy of Helsinki in 2009 after studying theatre for six years.

Kosonen's career began with notable performances in Finnish films such as "Jade Warrior" (2006), "Princess" (2010), and "The Midwife" (2015). She gained international recognition for her role in the Norwegian HBO series "Beforeigners" (2019, 2021), where she played Alfhildr Enginsdottir. Her performance in the film "Wildeye" (2015) earned her the Best Actress award at the Shanghai International Film Festival. She has also won two Jussi Awards for Best Leading Actress, in 2016 for "Wildeye" and in 2018 for "Miami".

In addition to her film career, Kosonen has appeared in several television series, including the sketch comedy show "Putous" (2010-2014), the period drama "Bullets" (2018), and the thriller series "Mister 8" (2021). She also had a role in the Hollywood film "Blade Runner 2049" (2017).

Kosonen is married to movie director Antti J. Jokinen, and they have two children together. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her family and continues to be active in the Finnish entertainment industry.
